The Hill & Gully Riders was first incorporated in 1972 by a group of enthusiasts’ snowmobile who decided to create a genuine network of mark snowmobile trails.  With the local landscape in mind they created their name in the memory of a small village on the west side of Mayo in the Quebec region.  From there you groom trail towards Thurso, Buckingham and Schryer Lake going through the Alpine & Valmont.

Outgrowing “The Lodge” the club members purchased a land at 149 Intel Rd. where they built a “Clubhouse” with a front lake view.  It came in handy when hosting the annual “Steer Roast” witch grew from a cottage gathering of about thirty people in 1974 and up to seven hundred in 1999.

In 1987 several neighboring clubs joined the Hill & Gully Riders to create an association.  Increased membership allowed the club to purchased larger grooming equipment like a BR-100 in 1987, a Guilbert/John Deer in 1995 and a Guilbert/Waltra Groomer in 2004.

We currently groom 155 km of trails with the two Guilberts in a radius stretching from “La Blanche” Lake outwards to Thurso, Buckingham, la Salette and Montpellier/Duhamel region.  We also operate the “Clubhouse” just north of “La Blanche” Lake as a popular licensed pit stop on weekends, where light meals, refreshments, gas and free parking are all available.

THE CLUBHOUSE IS OPEN WEEKEND DURING THE SNOWMOBILING SEASON
